DRV8825 Stepper Motor Driver Module

The DRV8825 is a driver for stepper motors up to 2A. The driver also supports micro stepping, which allows you to make very fine and low vibration movements. The driver is perfect for RAMPS 1.4 boards, which are used in 3D printers. But you can also use it for other mechanical Arduino projects where you want to control stepper motors. An aluminum heatsink is also included for you to stick on. When sticking it on, make sure you don't cause a short circuit. The DRV8825 module has a pin assignment and interface almost identical to its predecessor A4988, making it easy to replace. 

Decision DRV8825 or A4988?

The DRV8825 offers higher resolution and can be supplied with more power, making it more suitable for demanding applications, while the A4988 remains a popular choice for many projects due to its simplicity and cost. The DRV8825 is generally more efficient than the A4988 and can control larger motors with less heat generation.
